The following information will be helpful to the new pastor.

Church staff – Paid and Volunteer

A.  Provide list, responsibilities, and contact info.

      Use form from appendix:  “People that I Assist” .

C.  Office hours for church secretary

D.  Payday, time sheets, job descriptions

Church Office Equipment

(ie. Date of purchase, contract, etc)

Telephones, Computers, Printers, Copy machine

Internet system, etc.

 

3.

Calendar – church schedule calendar

Provide copy of next few months. Provide access to church calendars from previous years.

 

4.

Calendars – other

District, community, schools, & university

 

5.

       Programs and activities

List all on-going programs and contact persons

ie. Sunday School, group studies, etc.

 

6.

       Benevolence requests

Contact information, gas coupons, lodging, etc.

 

7.

       Building information

Fuse boxes, lights instructions, heating system, fire extinguishers, air conditioning, water heater, kitchen.

 

8.

       Custodians

Copy of contract or agreement, cleaning schedule,  cleaning crew, person who coordinates schedule.

 

9.

       Budget

Current and two previous years.

Define line items in writing.

 

10.

       Financial Information

A.  List of all bank accounts, who maintains them.

B.  List trusts, endowment – provide background

C.  List debts: when accrued, amount remaining.

D.  Process for making purchases & paying bills.

E.   How money is handled. - use form in appendix.

       Sunday Morning Worship

       Typical routine - people involved

Location of items – altar cloths, candles, etc

Communion – who does what, where service is stored.

Readers/liturgists - who arranges them,

Children’s time, “Jr. Church” - where, who in charge

Musicians: choir director, piano, organ, substitutes - who arranges substitutes

       Church History
